Source:mariodiazbalart.org (opens in a new tab)· From the candidate· retrievedWe need to stop adding costs to the economy. There a many ways for us to turn this around, but it all starts with HITTING THE BRAKES. After we remove Trump's puppet, Mario Díaz-Balart, we can start doing the obvious things: 1. End wars that disrupt energy markets. 2. Reduce unnecessary tariffs. 3. Bring deficits and debt under control without cutting healthcare and basic services. 4. Build more housing. 5. Invest in sustainable energy. 6. Spend our tax dollars right here in the USA. Instead, our representative, Mario Díaz-Balart makes the wrong choice, every. single. time. We should also recognize that legal immigration as an economic strength.
Source:locklinforcongress.com (opens in a new tab)· From the candidate· retrievedImmigrants expand our workforce, start businesses, fill critical jobs, pay taxes, and create demand throughout the economy. Cutting immigration while our population ages makes it harder for the economy to grow and can make worker shortages, and contributes to rising prices. Instead of asking working families to carry the cost of our debt, require billionaires and large corporations to contribute more. The answer to an affordability crisis is lowering unnecessary costs while building a larger, stronger, more productive economy. When we remove Mario Díaz-Balart on November 3rd, I will get to work fixing his mess.
Source:locklinforcongress.com (opens in a new tab)· From the candidate· retrievedCongress decides where your tax dollars go. Right now, Washington spends billions on enforcement and bureaucracy, while teachers are underpaid, classrooms are overcrowded, and families are told there’s “no money” for the basics. That’s not a budget problem. That’s a priorities problem. If elected, Nicole will: - Push to redirect federal spending toward public education , including better pay for teachers - Invest in job creation and workforce development , not bloated enforcement budgets - Demand transparency and accountability for how federal agencies spend taxpayer money This isn’t about politics or slogans. It’s about using public money to make life better for the public.

Nicole supports the fastest responsible path to guaranteed care for every American: Medicare for All, a strong public option, Medicare buy-in, or any model that gets us to universal coverage.
Source:locklinforcongress.com (opens in a new tab)· From the candidate· retrievedNicole will fight for universal healthcare. Díaz-Balart has fought against the protections people already have.

Social Security is not a handout. It is money Americans earned and paid into throughout their working lives. My first promise is that I will never vote to cut Social Security benefits, raise the retirement age, privatize the program, or reduce cost-of-living adjustments. Protecting Social Security also means making sure it will be there for future generations. Congress has waited too long to act. I support asking wealthy Americans to pay Social Security taxes on more of their income, just as working families already do. That would strengthen the program without cutting earned benefits.
Source:locklinforcongress.com (opens in a new tab)· From the candidate· retrievedI will also fight for a cost-of-living adjustment that reflects what seniors actually pay for, especially housing, health care, prescriptions, food, insurance, and utilities. In Congress, I will work to: • Protect every dollar of earned benefits • Oppose raising the retirement age • Oppose privatization • Require high-income Americans to contribute on more of their earnings • Improve benefits for low-income seniors and widows • Adopt a more accurate cost-of-living formula for seniors • Protect Social Security data and personal information • Fund Social Security offices so people can receive timely, in-person help
Source:locklinforcongress.com (opens in a new tab)· From the candidate· retrievedDuring my first year in Congress, I will: 1. Cosponsor the Credit for Caring Act 2. Support Social Security legislation that protects benefits and requires high-income Americans to contribute more 3. Oppose any increase in the retirement age 4. Fight for adequate staffing and service at the Social Security Administration 5. Support Social Security caregiving credits 6. Protect Medicaid and home-based care from cuts 7. Establish bilingual senior and caregiver constituent services throughout FL-26 8. Hold regular roundtables with seniors and caregivers to track whether federal programs are actually working. I will not make promises that one member of Congress cannot deliver alone.
Source:locklinforcongress.com (opens in a new tab)· From the candidate· retrievedI will make clear commitments about the bills I will support, the cuts I will oppose, and the work I will do to build bipartisan support. Seniors deserve security, caregivers deserve support, and every American deserves to know that Social Security will be there when they need it.

Source:locklinforcongress.com (opens in a new tab)· From the candidate· retrievedpolicies that worsen human suffering without achieving change must be re-evaluated A smarter, more effective, and somewhat obvious approach would be target the regime, not the people! Focus sanctions on officials responsible for corruption and human rights abuses, instead of broad restrictions that impact an entire population. Apply pressure where it matters, but allow greater access to food, medicine, humanitarian aid, and civilian infrastructure, especially energy. If elected, I will target sanctions on corrupt officials, not blanket hardship. I will work with international partners to stabilize access to fuel and essential services so families are not left in the dark (literally) .
Source:locklinforcongress.com (opens in a new tab)· From the candidate· retrievedIf elected, Nicole Locklin will work to: - Establish enforceable standards for knowingly false statements made by elected officials in an official capacity - Apply accountability to formal public communications, reports, and certifications - Clearly distinguish intentional deception from opinion or political disagreement - Create real consequences, including ethics sanctions and public accountability - Protect whistleblowers who expose intentional dishonesty in government This is not about policing speech. It’s about stopping deliberate lies by people in power. Public office is a public trust — and lying to the public should never be part of the job.

Nicole Locklin believes: - Enforcement must be targeted toward genuine public safety - Due process must be protected, never bypassed - Conditions of detention must meet constitutional standards - Congress has a duty to exercise strict oversight of federal agencies - Taxpayer dollars should never fund unconstitutional conduct Nicole Locklin took an oath to uphold the Constitution.
